Job Description & Requirements Specialty : Med Surg / Telemetry Discipline : RN Start Date : 10 / 20 / 2025 Duration : 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift : 12 hours, nights Employment Type : Travel Job ID : T4H - 914 Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our busy Renal Med-Surg unit specializing in the care of patients with acute and chronic kidney disease, post-dialysis needs, and complex medical-surgical conditions. This high-acuity 21-bed unit manages a diverse patient population requiring continuous monitoring, frequent assessments, and multidisciplinary collaboration. The ideal candidate will be confident in managing renal-related complications and thrive in a fast-paced environment with high patient turnover. Responsibilities Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult renal and medical-surgical patients Manage patients with acute kidney injury, chronic kidney disease, and post-dialysis needs Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry Collaborate with nephrologists and interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes Float as needed within scope to similar Med-Surg units, including Wound Care, Stroke, Oncology, Cardiac, Observation, and ED boarders Requirements Active Ohio RN license (required at submission) Current BLS certification Minimum 3 years of recent Med-Surg and Telemetry experience (renal experience strongly preferred) Proven ability to independently read and interpret telemetry strips Epic EMR proficiency (mandatory, no training provided; must be documented in submission) Competency test required on Day 1 (failure results in immediate termination) Important Notes No on-call requirement Must demonstrate adaptability, efficiency, and strong critical thinking in a high-volume setting Epic proficiency is strictly enforced; lack of proficiency or failure to pass competency will result in termination About Talent4Health A leader and innovator, offering comprehensive talent solutions for the healthcare industry across the nation.
