Position : Certified Asbestos Investigator

Industry : Science Technical

Location : Iselin, NJ / New York, NY

Responsibilities as an Industrial Hygiene Professional

  • Conduct building inspections and investigations for asbestos and asbestos-related hazards.
  • Provide asbestos abatement monitoring and air testing.
  • Issue detailed reports regarding all asbestos-related activities on assigned projects.
  • Handle a variety of tasks including environmental investigations and assessments such as regulatory compliance, asbestos and lead paint inspections, and remediation oversight.
  • Field monitor abatement projects in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Provide technical support and report writing.

What we're looking for

  • B.S. in Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science, or related field
  • 5–10 years of experience managing projects and report writing
  • NEW YORK CITY Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) Asbestos Investigator Certification
  • NEW YORK State DOL Licensed Asbestos Inspector Certification
  • Strong knowledge of NYC rules and regulations as well as NYS regulations
  • Ability to comprehend / review construction drawings; knowledge of building components
  • Working knowledge of Excel / Word
  • Strong technical writing skills, ability to multi-task, safety awareness, and a solid understanding of safe work practices
  • 40-hour HAZWOPER certification preferred
  • Valid driver's license and good driving record
  • Strong communication skills

    • Compensation

    Annual Expected Pay Range : $80,000 — $100,000 USD
