We are an Upscale Viennese Café House / Restaurant and serve authentic High end Austrian and German Food including our Award winning Pastry Program. The menu is designed and executed by German Born Michelin Starred Executive Chef Christopher Engel and includes all iconic dishes of his heritage such as Schnitzel, Goulash, Strudels and cakes.
We are looking for additions to our team and hiring a PASTRY COOK.
Responsibilities :
Effectively and professionally running your station during service period, ensuring excellence in cooking, timing, plate assembly, and communication.
Prepare and execute mise en place fully for your own station; ensure that station mise en place is prepped, seasoned, and stocked throughout service and overall station remains clean and organized.
Accurately handling food items to minimize waste and maintain health code
Actively participate in the positive relationship between FOH, Bar and BOH teams by maintaining steady stream of communication with entire team and staff.
Take part in pre-service duties and applicable closing duties
Demonstrate a passion for details and willingness to learn
Uphold service preparation and culinary standards to ensure a memorable guest experience
Maintain and uphold our company’s vision and values
Maintain and uphold the cleanliness of the kitchen in line with NYC DOH standards
Requirements :
Minimum 2 years of experience in a managing capacity
Minimum 4 years of experience in a quality-driven, high volume kitchen
