VP, Loan Closing, CPF
The Vice President, Loan Closing, CPF is responsible for facilitating loan closing activities for Centennial Property Finance loans. This position manages the process from post-term sheet through loan closing, including the evaluation of legal and collateral documents, and working closely with the underwriting team to document new information discovered during the underwriting process. The individual must have a strong understanding and knowledge of complex loan structures, including but not limited to : note-on-note financing, repurchase facilities / agreements, intercreditor agreements, preferred equity / JV agreements, construction loans. This position requires strong understanding of closing due diligence matters including title, survey, zoning, insurance, know your client (KYC) requirements, loan servicing / accounts matters.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
1. Independent day-to-day management of the loan closing process for each assigned loan from post-term sheet through loan closing.
2. Lead negotiations with borrowers and legal counsel on all closing issues.
3. Review legal and other loan closing documents (including the loan agreement and other ancillary documents) to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations and approvals.
4. Track and manage outside legal counsel fees and reconciling third party costs with the good faith deposit (GFD) and keep borrower informed of the GFD balance.
5. Lead post-closing debriefing (closing hand-off) to portfolio management and servicing teams to identify critical list of issues to be tracked during term of the loan.
6. Track compliance of legal loan documents to term-sheet and loan approval documents. Ensure deviations are well documented and obtain management's approval to avoid audit exceptions.
7. Ensure post-closing obligations are tracked and satisfied in compliance with post-closing agreements.
8. Collaborate with AVP-Closing to ensure all KYC information is adequately reviewed and complies with the Bank's policies prior to loan closing.
9. Complete required BSA / AML training and other compliance training as assigned.
10. The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
11. Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.
Qualifications

Education And Experience
Broad knowledge of such fields as accounting, marketing, business administration, finance, etc. Equivalent to a four year college degree, plus 7 years related experience and / or training, and 2 years related management experience.
Communication Skills
Ability to read, analyze, and understand common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents; Ability to respond to complex or difficult inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane, algebra, solid geometry and trigonometry.
Critical Thinking Skills
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Software Skills Required
Intermediate : Presentation / PowerPoint
