Key Responsibilities
Assess, plan, delegate, coordinate, implement, and evaluate nursing care for a group of patients.Serve as primary or accountable nurse when designated by unit assignment.Educate patients and families in health promotion and disease management.Administer medications safely in accordance with UHS policies and pharmacological standards.Support productivity and resource utilization, including staffing, time management, and supply use.Ensure compliance with all nursing practice standards, regulatory requirements, and UHS policies.Actively participate in the Nursing Shared Governance Model , Unit Council, improvement initiatives, and peer review practices.Engage in professional growth through continuing education and completion of mandatory training.Integrate current nursing research and evidence-based practices into patient care.Support orientation and learning for new employees and nursing students.Perform duties related to the Charge Nurse or Shift Coordinator role when assigned.Carry out additional responsibilities as requested.Required Certifications
