What You Can Expect
Paragon 28, a Zimmer Biomet Company is hiring a Lab Coordinator for our Englewood, Colorado location. The Lab Coordinator has overall responsibility for all operational aspects of the P28 Beast Lab and all remote labs to ensure exceptional medical educational experiences and overall efficient, cost-effective management under the direction of the Lab Manager. This is a hands-on position that routinely requires handling of cadaveric specimens, utilization of radiology equipment in accordance with all regulations, as well as set up and clean-up before, during, and post lab sessions. This position may have the opportunity for occasional work from home, but requires a full-time in-person presence. This role is an on-site position.
How You'll Create Impact
Essential Responsibilities and Duties
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the bio-skills labs (on-site and remote), including setup, teardown, cleanliness, and organization.
- Ensure full compliance with AATB and OSHA safety standards during all lab activities.
- Manage inventory of P28 products, PPE, surgical instruments, and cadaveric specimens; maintain proper handling, preparation, and disposal of all anatomical tissue.
- Procure CT-scanned specimens for labs requiring Maven and Patient Specific instrumentation; update as new products are added.
- Maintain lab supply levels, set par levels, restock as needed, and ensure purchasing protocols are followed.
- Operate and maintain imaging equipment (mini C-arms and others); ensure timely inspections.
- Support on- and off-site labs by scouting facilities, ordering and organizing all materials (PPE, cadavers, tables, AV, etc.), and assisting with invoicing.
- Collaborate with Medical Education, Marketing, and Sales teams to coordinate and support training events and promotional labs.
- Build and maintain vendor relationships; schedule repairs, evaluate performance, and review pricing.
- Maintain accurate specimen tracking via logbooks for all courses, events, and projects.
- Clean and sterilize lab tools, equipment, and trays according to OSHA standards; assist Marketing Material Coordinators as needed.
- Ensure all lab attendees complete waivers and follow PPE and safety protocols during sessions.
- Assist Clinical, R&D, Executive, and Marketing teams during mock surgical procedures.
- Travel for off-site events, tradeshows, and conferences (e.g., AAOS, ACFAS, AOFAS) to support Medical Education and Clinical Affairs.
- Coordinate with Facilities on lab maintenance needs; submit and track work orders.
- Support loading dock functions (receiving, shipping, inventory logs, use of manual pallet jack).
- Assist with waste removal (regulated, non-regulated, and biohazard).
- Perform other duties as assigned.
