As an Electronic Monitoring Officer, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the electronic monitoring systems that track and monitor individuals under supervision. This role demands exceptional attention to detail, adherence to policies, and a high level of accountability.
Your role will involve installing electronic monitoring equipment, conducting intakes, explaining rules to clients placed on electronic monitoring. Your work environment will be in our office as well as at the local jails when installing equipment. You will need to work collaboratively with both internal and external teams, all while maintaining a high standard of professionalism and confidentiality.
Prior experience in criminal justice is not required but a desire to learn is mandatory!
- Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and manage electronic tracking devices and systems used to supervise individuals, ensuring the proper function of equipment at all times.
- Collect, analyze, and report on monitoring data.
- Conduct regular audits of monitoring equipment and data, ensuring compliance with established protocols, regulations, and standards. Rectify discrepancies or errors swiftly and accurately.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues with monitoring devices or software, ensuring minimal downtime and accurate data recording.
- Ensure all electronic monitoring activities are in full compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. Maintain comprehensive records and documentation for auditing purposes.
- Work with team members, law enforcement, and other stakeholders to coordinate responses to monitoring incidents. Communicate effectively, both written and verbal, with relevant parties to ensure clear understanding of monitoring results.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest policies and best practices. Provide information to clients on system usage and court expectations.
- Minimum Qualifications
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Must be able to participate in a on-call rotation
- May not have any felonies or a misdemeanor of moral turpitude. Any other misdemeanors cannot be within the last 10 years.
- Ability to work independently while demonstrating company values of integrity and ethical behavior.

- Minimum of a High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Prior experience working in an office setting and in customer service is required.
- Strong proficiency with computers and typing skills are required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively document and communicate findings, both internally and externally.
