Anesthesia physician job in New York : Locum Tenens Anesthesiology Opportunity Dunkirk, New York   Position : Anesthesiologist (MD / DO)Location : Dunkirk, NYSetting : Hospital-basedStart Date : As soon as availableContract Length : Ongoing Schedule & Shift Details

  • Shift Hours : 7 : 00 AM 3 : 30 PM
  • Shift Type : 8-hour guarantee per day
  • Call :
  • No call required
  • Weeknight or weekend call help is preferred, but optional
  • CRNAs take call independently
  • High-Priority Coverage Dates (as of Sept 22) :
  • November : 13, 14
  • December : 15, 2226 Clinical Details

Daily Volume : Varies depending on case load

  • Patient Population : Adults only
  • Support Staff : 1 MD and 4 CRNAs
  • CRNA Supervision :
  • Mix of hands-on and supervision
  • Typical day : MD supervises 4 CRNAs
  • If short-staffed, MD may take a case until ratio is safe
  • Surgeons can assist CRNAs if MD is not available
  • EMR : Meditech + paper charting Required Procedures & Skills

    • Orthopedic Blocks Required

  • No OB
  • Comfort with both supervision and hands-on cases

    • Licensing & Certifications

  • New York Medical License Required
  • Board Certification Required
  • DEA Required
  • Certifications BLS and ACLS Required
  • Minimum Experience Required
