Maintenance Specialist-Electrician Quarterly Bonus Eligible

Job Summary :

Plant Electrician position that includes up to a $1500  quarterly bonus and an improved pay scale

The Plant Electrician is responsible for a variety of duties including but not limited to safely providing maintenance support to our fast-paced Council Bluffs, IA plant.  Utilize both excellent electrical / electronic skills and knowledge (PLCs, AC, DC motors and drives, schematics) and mechanical skills and knowledge (pneumatics, hydraulics, bearings, power transmission, lubrication) in our manufacturing environment.  Work positively with maintenance and operations teams to troubleshoot and solve problems.

Essential Job Functions :

• Ability to work the scheduled / assigned times and required overtime for position
• Ability to work holidays
• Regular attendance to ensure production requirements are met
• Ability to read, write, communicate, and comprehend written instructions in English
• Knowledge of electronic testing equipment
• Knowledge of Planned Maintenance
• Excellent communication skills
• Must be well organized and able to prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously
• Ability to work independently as well as with others as a team
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics / prints
• Advanced computer skills including knowledge of spreadsheets
• Ability to complete work / purchase requests
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs

Qualifications :

Education :   High school diploma or GED required. College or trade school preferred.

Experience Required : A minimum of 6 months experience in an industrial maintenance environment and / or equivalent military experience.  PLC certification preferred and / or journeyman license.
