As a Security Professional Unarmed Retail Patrol Full-Time in Charlotte, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail / Malls, and more. As a Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting routine patrols throughout a dynamic retail environment. Your presence and attentiveness will contribute to a welcoming atmosphere for guests and staff alike. This is a driving post, where you will navigate the location to monitor activity, respond to situations, and provide outstanding customer service. What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Observe and report any suspicious activity or security-related incidents in accordance with Allied Universal protocols.
  • Assist with access control, monitoring entrances and exits to help to deter unauthorized entry.
  • Support loss prevention efforts by maintaining a visible presence and reporting any unusual activity.
  • Work collaboratively with store personnel and / or management to address security-related issues as needed.
  • Complete required documentation and incident reports accurately and in a timely manner.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Possession of a Guard Card or security-related license is preferred.
  • Experience in customer service is preferred.
  • Comfort with using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
