Position Summary
Alpha, Inc. is seeking a motivated and results-driven Dairy Equipment Sales Representative to join our growing team. This position will involve both inside and outside sales, with frequent travel throughout the Central Valley region. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working directly with dairy producers, agricultural operations, and equipment dealers, providing expertise, building relationships, and driving sales growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing customers while identifying and pursuing new business opportunities.
- Plan and organize daily work schedules to visit existing or potential customers across the assigned territory.
- Prepare and submit quotes, orders, and proposals accurately and on time.
- Recommend products and provide technical guidance to meet customer needs.
- Maintain detailed sales records, including call reports, expense reports, and territory analyses.
- Gather competitive market intelligence on pricing, products, and trends.
- Support management with reports, project updates, and feedback on customer needs and market conditions.
- Attend trade shows, industry events, and vendor training sessions as required.
- Provide pre- and post-sale customer support, ensuring satisfaction and long-term client relationships.
- Support team goals and uphold Alpha’s reputation for exceptional service and integrity.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements & Qualifications
Proven ability to meet or exceed sales goals.Strong customer service, communication, and negotiation skills.Self-motivated, organized, and capable of working independently.Experience or background in dairy farming or sales is required; 5+ years of dairy farming and / or dairy equipment sales experience of 5 a strong plus.Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic computer applications.Ability to interpret technical drawings and explain product specifications.Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.This role requires regular travel (approximately 50-60% of the time) within the Central Valley region, with occasional overnight stays.Compensation & Benefits
Pay Range : Paid Hourly $52,000 to $62,400 per year (DOE)
