HealthAlliance Hospital, part of the Westchester Medical Center Health Network (WMCHealth), is seeking a board-certified / board-eligible pulmonary / critical care physician to join our team. This position is primarily outpatient-focused, with an emphasis on pulmonary and sleep medicine, while also providing limited inpatient consultative and ICU coverage opportunities. Job Responsibilities :
- Outpatient Pulmonary & Sleep Medicine :
- Diagnose and manage a range of pulmonary conditions, including COPD, asthma, interstitial lung disease, and pulmonary nodules.
- Provide evaluation and treatment for sleep disorders, such as obstructive sleep apnea and insomnia.
- Interpret pulmonary function tests.
- Work closely with referring providers and respiratory therapists to optimize patient care.
- Inpatient Consultative Services
- Provide pulmonary consultations for hospitalized patients on an as-needed basis.
- Work closely with the hospital’s medical staff to ensure coordinated, high-quality patient care.
- ICU Coverage
- Participate in occasional ICU rounding or consults, offering critical care expertise.
- Collaborate with ICU nurses and physicians to manage critically ill patients as needed.
- Team Collaboration & Leadership
- Partner with advanced practice providers (APPs), nurses, and allied health professionals to deliver comprehensive care.
- Participate in departmental initiatives, quality improvement projects, and hospital committees.
- Documentation & Compliance
- Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant patient records.
- Follow hospital guidelines for billing, coding, and regulatory standards.
Qualifications / Requirements :
MD or DO degree.Board certified / board eligible in pulmonary disease and critical care medicine.Additional Sleep Medicine certification or interest in sleep medicine is preferred but not required.Strong clinical, communication, and teamwork skills.Commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centered care in a community hospital setting.Additional Benefits :
