Are you a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual with a passion for product development? We are currently seeking an enthusiastic Assistant Product Development Manager (APM) to join our Product Development & Design team! In this role, you will be at the center of our process– managing samples, documentation, packaging and execution, while supporting design, research, and concept development. This role is responsible for ensuring that every detail is documented, organized, and set up for success, helping our team bring products from concept to reality!
Key Job Functions :
- Support the Product Development team by processing and organizing the receipt of all inbound, factory samples (open, unbox, unpack, label, document)
- Assist with evaluation of all development samples by measuring and reporting findings against spec, product requirements and quality expectations
- Document, label, and organize all submits and samples from concept to production and maintain sample closets and organization – (Development, Pre Production, TOP, Sales)
- Communicate packaging design details to factories and manage execution
- Create and revise design tech packs and supporting artwork files
- Support the creation of presentation decks and prepare samples and submits for meetings to illustrate product details, updates and changes
- Generate notes / recaps following internal milestone meetings and vendor meetings
- Maintain, update, and create relevant product database systems ie.) sample trackers, assortment grids and various item reference sheets as well as file and folder organization
- Prepare outbound sample packages with proper details, notes and components
- Work cross functionally with sales & marketing team to aid in sales sample requests ensuring that samples are prepared and sent out with careful attention and presentation
- Regularly collect market research and competitive analysis for various product categories
- Perform competitive shopping both in store and on-line for seasonal understanding and reporting
- Assist with various special product development team projects as needed
What you’ll bring to the role :
Bachelors degree in related field or 2 years of product development, merchandising, design, or relative experience preferredAbility to create and edit CADS with skillset in Adobe programsProficiency in Microsoft Suite, Google Docs, SheetsCreative thinking with initiative to take on assignments and opportunities with energy and a curious mindset (self-starter)Ability to adapt and react quickly to a diverse of changing needs, conditions, priorities (flexibility)High attention to detailExcellent organizational and communication skillsExcellent analytical and problem solving skills with a desire to learnDemonstrated ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects at a time, from concept to completion within time constraints (good time management)Fabric, textile and basic understanding of construction a plusAbility to bend, lift, open and move product and packages up to 50 lbsAbout BOKSER :
