Woman-founded in 1982 and located in beautiful Annapolis, Maryland, we have a long history of designing and building the highest-performing embedded computing products. We offer a professional, friendly environment, with the opportunity to be compensated well for doing cutting-edge work.

Our production team is a close-knit group of professionals who are upbeat, talented, and extremely proud of their work and the cutting-edge products they produce. We use automated Surface Mount Technology (SMT) equipment to assemble our own high-quality printed circuit cards. Are attention to detail and excellent soldering abilities among your key strengths? Essential Duties and Responsibilities

\n

  • Solder THT and SMT components per IPC A 610 Class III Standards

\n

  • Rework and touch up per IPC A 610 Class III Standards

    • \n

  • Assemble PCBs into complex modules

    • \n

  • Build cable and chassis assemblies

    • \n

  • Press-fit connectors using a benchtop manual press

    • \n

  • Implement ECOs

    • \n

  • Inspect incoming material : PCBs, panels, heatsinks, etc.

    • \n

  • Complete final assembly of products

    • \n

  • Build prototypes for Engineering using schematics

    • \n

  • Keep Manufacturing consumables stocked, communicate stock levels and requirements to Purchasing team

    • \n \n

    Requirements

    \n

  • Minimum High School or GED or equivalent

    • \n

  • U.S. Citizenship

    • \n

  • Certified to J-STD-001 preferred

    • \n

  • Excellent Soldering Skills

    • \n

  • Attention to Detail

    • \n

  • Strong Oral and Written Communication

    • \n

  • Able to adapt to change

    • \n

  • Manual Dexterity

    • \n

  • Able to lift 20 lbs

    • \n \n

    In compliance with local laws regarding pay transparency, the hourly rate for this role is $25 / hr to $55 / hr; however, Annapolis Micro Systems considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, education / training, and key skills.
