Recruitment Coordinator - Physician
This Recruitment Coordinator, within the Kansas Recruitment and Retention Center (KRRC) team, will recruit physicians and other healthcare providers to rural and urban under-resourced areas of Kansas. Successful recruitment is accomplished by developing and collaborating with a candidate pool of healthcare professionals as well as relating to candidates via the telephone, e-mail, and direct communication. This position will be integral in the continual development of the client database, relations, and communication. Key functions of this recruiter role also include development of position descriptions, pre-qualification of candidates, recruitment consultations during the interviewing process, and assisting with retention strategies.
Rural Health Education and Services works to increase access to healthcare in Kansas by administering healthcare workforce programs and services, such as KRRC. The Kansas Recruitment and Retention Center partners with hospitals, private physician practices, community health centers, and other organizations to help strengthen the health care workforce in communities across the State. KRRC services are designed to assist Kansas communities in recruiting and retaining physicians, dentists, pharmacists, physician assistants, APRNs, nurses, dental hygienists, allied health professionals, and behavioral health professionals. The KRRC is currently partnering with more than 50 health care organizations. The anticipated hiring salary range for this position is $24.20-$35.09 / hour.
Job duties outlined :
- Recruit for physician and other healthcare providers. Support additional recruitment activities as needed.
- Expand services as prioritized by manager.
- Interview candidates via telephone or in person to assess interests, needs, and priorities. Participate in building and maintaining an active candidate pool.
- Participate in the development and implementation of marketing strategies to acquire new candidates and clients as well as promote RHES programs / services.
- Recruit a pool of candidates as requested by clients. Recruit additional clients and positions to match candidate pool.
- Conduct on-site visits to clients.
- Gather information from clients and on-line resources to write a comprehensive practice opportunity description.
- Review and analyze information gathered through candidate interviews and community profiles to determine compatibility of candidate with practice sites.
- Recommend the best-qualified candidates to clients and maintain ongoing contact with site through site visit and selection process.
- Confer with clients regarding candidate referrals.
- Guide candidates through the site visits and selection process.
- Apprise candidates and clients of details and updates regarding Federal and State incentive and loan forgiveness programs.
- Cross market services and resources offered by RHES, KUMC, and external partners.
- Ensure that client information is up to date on all databases.
- Perform tasks outlined in the Placement Follow-up Process for KRRC placements.
- Present data, RHES services / initiatives, and educational materials to students, residents, statewide stakeholders, and at conferences.
- Participate and assist in the coordination of statewide initiatives. Assume an active role in grant projects designed to increase the health workforce in Kansas.
- Represent RHES at health care career fairs, medical conferences, and Kansas Career Opportunity events to recruit potential candidates, clients, and participants.

Work environment :
This position is based out of the Wichita campus with an opportunity to work hybrid upon successful completion of training.This position will require a flexible work schedule to allow for occasional evening hours as well as overnight travel.Required qualifications :
Education : Bachelor's degree in business, human resources, or comparable field. Education may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.Work experience : Experience in recruiting, workforce development, rural health care, or project management.Experience growing, maintaining, and supporting a network of professional relationships.Experience working with confidential information.Experience developing and implementing processes that track data points, participants, or programs. Experience implementing follow-up measures and managing a high volume of correspondence.Preferred qualifications :
Education : Master's degree in business, human resources, or related field.Work experience : Experience with physician and healthcare profession's pipeline and pathways, health care delivery system, elements of medical practice, and health care terminology.Experience in physician / healthcare recruitment or rural workforce development.Experience with applying candidate sourcing methods in the recruitment process.Experience with RMS or other recruitment software.Skills :

Compensation statement : The pay range listed for this position is determined by our compensation program using market data and salary benchmarking. A combination of factors is considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, education, experience and training, qualifications relative to the requirements of the position, and funding. At the University of Kansas Medical Center, a reasonable estimate for the starting pay range will be the minimum to midpoint of the posted range, taking into account the combination of factors listed above.
