The Health Center Association of Nebraska (HCAN) is actively recruiting a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join our Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) in Gering, Nebraska, where you will provide high-quality, patient-centered behavioral health care for all. Utilizing an integrated care approach, our providers work collaboratively to address all aspects of patients’ health and believe that exceptional, compassionate care should be accessible and affordable for all. Medical, dental, behavioral health, and outreach services are coordinated to ensure well-rounded, comprehensive care.

Your Role :
Provide patient assessment and diagnosis, and formulate outcome-based psychiatric treatment plansOrder, conduct, and interpret pertinent laboratory and diagnostic procedures with appropriate follow throughPrescribe, monitor, and evaluate psychotropic and related medicationsPromote positive health behaviors and self-care skills through education and counselingConsult, refer, and collaborate with other discipline involved in the delivery of total patient careRefer patients for inpatient care in accordance with statues and protocols regulating the professionAssess real or potential health hazards including analysis of health behavior related to lifestyle and cultureMaintain confidentiality of patient records pertaining to treatmentWhat We Are Looking For :
Master’s degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner programCurrent license in good standing as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner in the state of NebraskaCurrent and unencumbered DEAKnowledge of principles, methods, and procedures for assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of mental dysfunctionsAbility to collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other health professionals as neededDemonstrated professional commitment to providing services to medically under-served individuals in a public health settingLocation Perks :
