Security Deposit Specialist
Copay is currently looking to hire a Security Deposit Specialist within our ALE Solutions division. This position falls under our Lodging line of business and is located in St. Charles, IL. In this role, you will contribute to the department's efficiency by maintaining accuracy throughout claim files and working on behalf of the policyholder to resolve disputes and damage claims. You will manage tasks and consistency across all files to ensure a correct financial total at the end of the placement. You will report directly to the Security Deposit Supervisor and regularly collaborate with landlords, furniture companies, and insurance companies.
As a Security Deposit Specialist, Copay will set you up for success by providing :
- Assigned workspace in St. Charles, IL office

The responsibilities of the role will include :
Maintaining a daily tracking log of file assignments using ACT tasksRecording detailed notes of verbal and written correspondence (documenting names / phone numbers of conversations held) in ACT databaseMaintaining electronic and paper files to ensure status accuracyCollecting security deposits from landlords immediately following move outDispersing deposit refunds for property and furniture to insured or insurance companiesAssisting insureds as needed in disputing deductions with the landlordAuditing files to verify billing and payments were issued correctlyWorking to resolve any billing issues and collect back landlord overpayments as needIssuing billing credits or balance reductions as needed based on adjuster requestsNotifying insureds of charges for damages to rental furniture and assist on disputing charges for insuredCollecting unpaid balances or furniture damages over deposit held from insured as neededAssisting as necessary with the day to day security deposit processQualifications & Skills :
High school diploma or equivalent preferred1-2 years of job-related experience preferredComputer proficiency in Microsoft Office Excel, Word, and OutlookACT database experience a plusExcellent verbal & written communication skills, be very organized, have strong problem-solving skills, ability to multi task, and be a team playerAttention to detail and accuracy are critical skills for this positionExhibits strong business acumen and sound judgementAble to establish and maintain healthy working relationships among team members in the course of workAbility to assist coworkers with tasksBenefits & Perks :
