job_description.job_card.job_descriptionA Server Administrator for a Distribution Center requires a mix of technical and soft skills. Essential skills include in-depth knowledge of server administration, networking fundamentals, storage management, database management, and cybersecurity. The ability to troubleshoot, problem-solve, and automate tasks through scripting is also important. Strong communication, analytical, and teamwork skills are necessary. Detailed understanding and ability to design structured cabling systems utilized in the DC, including CAT5, Cat 6 / 6E, Single and Multi-Mode fiber Optics, IDF / MDFs, switches, and cross connection methodologies. Comprehensive understanding and ability to troubleshoot hardware / software issues on WCS platforms (examples : Dematic conveyance, Inteligrated / Crisplant Tilt Tray, GOH, PTL / PTV, Ticketing). Comprehensive understanding and ability to troubleshoot hardware / software on the following deployed components : RF devices, ticketing systems, label platforms, time keeping, backup environments, and voice systems. Server administration, operating system installation and configuration, application installation and configuration, routine maintenance, performance monitoring, troubleshooting, user account management, access control, security implementation, backup planning, disaster recovery planning, documentation, networking fundamentals, storage management, database management, cybersecurity, scripting, automation, structured cabling design, CAT5, CAT6 / 6E, single-mode fiber optics, multi-mode fiber optics, IDF / MDF, network switches, cross connection methodologies, WCS platforms, Dematic conveyance, Inteligrated systems, Crisplant Tilt Tray, GOH systems, PTL / PTV systems, ticketing systems, hardware troubleshooting, software troubleshooting, RF devices, label platforms, time keeping systems, backup environments, voice systems, communication skills, analytical skills, teamwork, problem-solving

Salary Range : $79,000 - $87,400 per year
Location : Dublin, CA - Hybrid Role
Job Summary :
The Server Administrator for a Distribution Center will be responsible for the overall health and performance of the servers that underpin the center's operations.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Installing and configuring servers, operating systems, and applications.
- Performing routine maintenance, monitoring performance, and troubleshooting issues.
- Managing user accounts and access, implementing security measures, developing backup and disaster recovery plans, and maintaining documentation.
