Department Information

The Graduate Admissions team within the Office of Graduate Education plays a vital role in advancing Georgia Techs mission by managing the full admissions cycle for tens of thousands of applicants each year. Job Summary

Coordinate administrative and technical services including prospective student application document imaging and storage. This position will interact on a regular basis with : Admission staff. This position typically will advise and counsel : Admission staff. This position will supervise : N / A

Responsibilities

Job Duty 1 - Manage Electronic Application data file processing.

Job Duty 2 - Manage and process electronic documents into the imaging database for use across campus. Run assigned applications in student information system.

Job Duty 3 - Update Banner using supporting documentation.

Job Duty 4 - Provide support and training for users of related software applications.

Job Duty 5 - Respond to system user inquiries. Coordinate with technical staff to respond to problems or to enhance systems performance.

Job Duty 6 - Write and maintain queries and reports from the student information system. Provide assistance in obtaining and distributing a variety of reports.

Job Duty 7 - Back-up office support including coverage of front desk and phone center.

Job Duty 8 - Perform other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

Educational Requirements

Associate's Degree, Technical Diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience

Other Required Qualifications

Overnight travel required for project delivery; flexibility in on-site daily service delivery hours (due to client shift schedules, project requirements)

Required Experience

Two to three years of job related experience

SKILLS

This job requires advanced skill in technical services associated with a university admissions office. Skills include document imaging and verification, customer service and communications. Skill in use of office related and specialized computer applications is required. Requires good organization and planning skills.
