Patience, empathy, and a passion for working with children with special needs. Hours : 7 : 45 AM - 4 : 15 PM on student days. Compensation : $15.00 per hour, depending on experience level.

Position Overview : The Flint Cultural Center Academy is seeking a dedicated and compassionate One-on-One Student Support Specialist to provide individualized support for a student with special needs. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in working with early elementary-aged students and a commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities :
- Provide one-on-one support to a student with special needs, ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Assist with academic tasks, social interactions, and daily activities.
- Implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and adapt teaching methods to meet the student's needs.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other support staff to create a supportive and effective learning environment.
- Maintain accurate records of the student's progress and communicate regularly with the educational team.
