About The Position

Job Title : Registered Nurse

Experience : Minimum of 2 years preferred

License : RN license required

Certifications : BLS, NIH / Stroke Certification required; ACLS and CPI preferred

Must-Have :

BLS and NIH / Stroke Certification in hand

No local candidates within 50 miles

Patient ratio 1 : 6

No specific call - will depend on facility needs

No block scheduling

3x12 shifts, nights, EOW / Holidays as needed

Description :

This position involves caring for patients with various medical conditions.

The nurse will facilitate admission, treatment, and transfer.

Candidates should have experience in accessing and managing ports, blood product administration, and cardiac telemetry.

The unit provides care for patients with end-stage renal disease, autoimmune disorders, pneumonia, chest pain, CHF, GI bleed, and diabetes.

Experience in telemetry and the use of rapid response teams is preferred.

Candidates should be familiar with heparin protocols and the interpretation of dysrhythmias.

The nursing staff interacts with interdisciplinary teams including physical therapy, respiratory services, and pharmacy.

Post-catheterization care and dressing changes are part of the role.

Wound care and management of central lines are also required.

A focus on patient safety and proper protocol adherence is essential.
