About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day activities of our tanker trucking business unit , specializing in specialty chemical transport . This leadership role is responsible for ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient operations across equipment, personnel, and facilities while delivering exceptional service to our customers.
What You’ll Do
As Operations Manager, you will :
- Oversee operations, maintenance, safety / compliance, and personnel across the terminal
- Manage budgets for staffing, maintenance, equipment, and supplies while monitoring financial performance
- Track and improve key performance indicators (KPIs) such as on-time delivery, customer satisfaction, and revenue generation
- Ensure trucks, trailers, and facilities remain safe, compliant, and fully operational
- Lead, train, and manage direct reports to meet company standards and promote a culture of safety
- Conduct safety audits , enforce regulations, and develop risk-mitigation strategies
- Foster collaboration and communication between departments to streamline workflows
- Leverage technology and systems to improve efficiency and support recruitment efforts
- Build and maintain strong relationships with staff, customers, and internal teams
What We’re Looking For
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or related field (or equivalent experience)5+ years of management experience in transportation / operations, preferably within tanker truckingMust have hands-on experience with tanker operations and transporting specialty chemicalsStrong knowledge of logistics, scheduling, and DOT regulationsProven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire teamsSolid background in budgeting, financial management, and complianceExcellent problem-solving, organizational, and time-management skillsProficient in Microsoft Office Suite (or similar software)Clean driving record requiredCompensation & Benefits
