Manager - WFD Training and Development FT (30741)
Position : Manager – Training and Development, full-time (30741) at Goodwill Industries of San Antonio.
Position Summary
The Manager – Training and Development plans, designs, coordinates, and delivers highly engaging, performance-based, learner-centric skills- and knowledge-enhancement programs for the Goodwill San Antonio Mission Services Team. In addition, this role drives and supports quality and continuous improvement efforts to help strengthen Goodwill's ability to deliver on its Mission to Help Change Lives through the Power of Work.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Uphold and model Goodwill's mission, core values, and servant leadership philosophy.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with the different Program Teams to gather information on training needs and monitor operations.
- Create in collaboration with the Program Teams a training plan for each core position and monitor ongoing execution.
- Research and offer creative ideas, and recommend impactful training to improve team performance and efficiency.
- Research, build, and maintain training materials including outlines, curriculum, job aids, work instructions, classroom materials, on-the-job training guides, worksheets, infographics, videos, and quizzes.
- Research, find, secure, and manage external training resources and contractors.
- Facilitate / deliver training courses via group settings, virtual webinar / teleconference, recorded videos, and one-on-one sessions.
- Design and manage evaluation processes to measure results and ROI; provide data-driven reports for training initiatives.
- Stay current with effective training delivery methods and drive their implementation within the agency.
- Collaborate with Human Resources and agency-level Training and Development professionals to ensure training content is managed and attendance is recorded in the agency learning management system.
- Support quality and continuous improvement efforts, including creating / updating work instructions, operating manuals, quality control tools, and internal audits.
- Other duties may be assigned by leadership to accommodate business needs.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in education, business, marketing, or related field. Minimum four years of work experience may be considered in lieu of degree.Five years' teaching, training facilitation, and training development experience required.Experience managing / leading people and teams.Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate with business units to assess needs, develop, and deliver training as promised.Excellent training facilitation skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel).Experience with E-Learning Authoring Tools, SharePoint, Yammer, SnagIt, Brainshark and Learning Management Systems preferred.Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position.For positions requiring driving : valid driver's license and automobile insurance, and ability to travel as needed.Equal Opportunity Employer / Veterans / DisabledSeniority level
