Veterinary Assistant

VCA Dakota Ridge is looking for 2 Veterinary Assistants to join our team. Our Veterinary Assistants work alongside our veterinarians to ensure all of our patients receive the best care possible.

Job Responsibilities

• Client Service : this will be a cross trained position, meaning you will be capable of working at the front desk as well as in exam rooms
• Exam rooms : you will obtain a TPR and history to present to the veterinarian, then assist the veterinarian in the exam room and assist to provide any necessary treatments
• Patient Handling : not only will you provide restraint for the veterinarian during an exam, but you will also assist the technicians with sample collection, diagnostic testing and treatments
• Record Keeping : accurately maintain all patient records
• Housekeeping : work with the team to maintain the appearance and cleanliness of the hospital
• Pharmacy : know the different medications, how to fill and go over directions with clients
• Radiology : assist the technicians in obtaining diagnostic radiographs
• Laboratory : know how to obtain and submit samples

Who we are looking for

Pay range is $18.00 to $19.50 dependent on previous experience. Deadline to apply is October 30, 2025.
