The City of Austin is seeking a strategic and experienced Finance Director to lead the City's financial operations with integrity, innovation, and a commitment to public service. This key leadership role oversees budgeting, financial planning, risk management, and fiscal reporting ensuring transparency, accountability, and long-term sustainability. Key Responsibilities :

Leads financial planning, forecasting, and long-range fiscal strategy for the City.

Oversees investment management, budget coordination, and capital project funding.

Prepares financial reports and data to support informed decision-making.

Administers risk management programs, including insurance, retirement, and fire relief.

Directs payroll, accounts payable, and reconciliation of financial ledgers.

Serves as Chief Financial Advisor to the City Administrator and supports labor negotiations.
