Travel Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) – Rehab

Location : Town & Country, MO

Start Date : 9 / 29 / 2025

Assignment Length : 13 Weeks

Shift Details :

Days : 8-hour shifts, 35 hours / week

Weekends : None

On-call : None

Position Summary :

PTAs implement components of patient care, collect data related to treatments, and collaborate with Physical Therapists to adjust care as needed. They assist patients of all ages—from newborns to elderly—in achieving functional outcomes.

Key Responsibilities :

Assist patients with stretching and exercise of targeted muscle groups

Follow instructions from the Physical Therapist and assist during treatments

Work directly with the PT to provide patient care

Communicate with families regarding best at-home techniques

Maintain a clean and organized therapy area

Safely transfer patients from wheelchairs or walkers to therapy areas

Complete administrative tasks, including scheduling and filing paperwork

Teach patients balance and mobility techniques

Facility Overview :

This is a busy 282-bed skilled nursing and post-acute rehabilitation facility with a compassionate, dedicated nursing team and a high-energy therapy team. The facility treats a wide variety of orthopedic, cognitive, dietary, and neurological diagnoses, caring for both short-term rehab patients and long-term care residents. As a newly formed healthcare company, their goal is to become the premier inpatient rehab provider in the communities they serve.

Submission Requirements :

Minimum 1 year of PTA experience – Required

LTC or Rehab experience – Required

PTA license – Required
