Job Description
American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant for an adult acute care setting with required MI state license and EPIC experience.
Responsibilities
Work in an adult acute care hospital setting with a focus on orthopedics, neurological, cardiovascular, and post-surgical careTypical cases include orthopedic (TJR, fracture management, amputation, multi-trauma), neurological (CVA, brain injury, SCI), cardiovascular (post-CABG / open heart, valve repairs, pacemakers), and general med / surg debilityDay shifts, Monday through Friday from 8 : 30am to 5 : 00pmNo weekends, no call, and no floating requiredWork with Level 1 trauma patient populationEpic is used for documentation and charting; experience requiredRole involves providing physical therapy care to adult patients across multiple acute care disciplinesAllied staff may be required to complete specialty-specific pre-start modulesAHA certifications preferredLocal candidates are accepted at the same rate as travelReturning core staff must wait 12 months before returningMaximum of 5 days of requested time off (RTO) allowed per assignmentReturning traveler status must be verified through HRRequirements
Active Michigan PTA license required if applicableCurrent BLS certification requiredAt least 1 year of recent experience as a PTA in an acute care settingEpic experience requiredProof of high school education is required regardless of additional educationLevel 1 trauma experience requiredFirst-time travelers will be consideredBenefits
