Title : Project Coordinator, Anti-Trafficking Initiatives

Classification : Part-Time (0.8 FTE), Non-Exempt (Hourly)

Location : Oakland, CA

Regular Work Schedule :

  • Part-Time (32 hours / week). One year position with opportunity for renewal dependent on project funding.
  • Remote with some hybrid opportunities including local in-person events or networking, potential conference attendance, and in office hours as needed.

Compensation :

  • Hourly Rate : $32.00-$35.00 per hour
  • About the Position :

    The Project Coordinator, Anti-Trafficking Initiatives is part of a cross-functional team that includes staff from WestCoast's Training and Research departments. This role is responsible for coordinating core anti-trafficking initiatives, including the Commercial Sexual Exploitation-Identification Tool (CSE-IT) project. The Project Coordinator will support outreach for new partners, manage the CSE-IT database and files, as well as provide technical support on a new web-based software application used by external agencies to administer the CSE-IT screening tool. In addition, the position will support other CSEC related initiatives, including but not limited to supporting the Training Department with contracts and other administrative tasks. This role includes opportunities for professional growth, including assisting with research and training projects related to CSEC and the CSE-IT.

    The CSE-IT tool was developed by WCC and is used in multiple child-serving settings across the U.S. and Canada. The Project Coordinator will guide CSE-IT implementation and expansion, as well as support other anti-trafficking training, policy, research, and programing. Building relationships with stakeholders, managing contracts, and collaborating across departments at WestCoast is essential to this role. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to national efforts to combat child sex trafficking.

    Key Responsibilities :

  • Maintain working knowledge of the Commercial Sexual Exploitation Identification Tool (CSE-IT) project, including all versions of the screening tool, implementation guidance, partner organizations, training and technical assistance offerings, and research / data implications.
  • Research and outreach to identify prospective sites for CSEC and CSE-IT training, CSE-IT Online, and CSE-IT implementation.
  • Create and conduct marketing and outreach activities to prospective sites for CSEC and CSE-IT training, CSE-IT Online, and CSE-IT implementation.
  • Respond to inquiries, manage email lists, and hold introductory phone calls about the CSE-IT / CSE-IT Online with prospective sites.
  • Support partner agencies to implement the CSE-IT under direction of the Project Director.
  • Maintain site information in the project database, including required signed documents, up-to-date contact information, contracting and invoicing information, and training information.
  • Support project workflows, including ensuring other departments have the information they need such as for monthly invoicing and training coordination.
  • Manage scheduling, enrolling, unenrolling, and for monthly training. Coordinate with trainers and contracted agencies to ensure clear communication and timely responses.
  • Assist with CSEC and CSE-IT related projects as assigned, including research, training, and policy projects.
  • Assist with assembling grant proposals and collecting grant reporting requirements as needed.
  • Software Coordination :

  • Maintain close familiarity with all features of CSE-IT Online web application.
  • Provide technical support to CSE-IT sites.
  • With Project Director, assess the need for further feature development and work with software developers to prioritize and develop new features.
  • Create and update tutorial videos and guides as needed with CSE-IT features based on development and partner tech support requests.
  • Position Requirements :

  • Bachelor's degree preferred, with course work in communications, marketing, human trafficking, gender studies, race / ethnic studies, human services, social work, public health, psychology, research methods, or non-profit administration preferred, or other relevant educational background. Some graduate work a plus.
  • Two (2) years of experience coordinating or providing administrative support to projects or organizations with multiple external partners, or other relevant experience.
  • Some experience providing technical support to stakeholders on using web-based software preferred.
