Classroom Scheduling Manager
The Classroom Scheduling Manager in the Registrar's Office is responsible for managing and optimizing the use of institutional classroom space to support the academic mission of the university. The position will work directly with Associate Deans and Chairs to revise, reset and optimize the scheduling of courses and the location those courses are taught, thus optimizing the course caps. The outcome of this position's activities will result in an optimized scheduling system for students and more efficient use of adjuncts. The position will be responsible for system upgrades and implementations to achieve these scheduling goals.
This role involves coordinating the scheduling of general-purpose classrooms for academic courses, final exams, and special events, ensuring alignment with institutional policies, space utilization standards, and academic needs. The Classroom Scheduling Manager collaborates closely with academic departments, facilities staff, and Information Technology Services (ITS) to assure appropriate arrangements for courses to take place, resolve conflicts, address room setup and technology requirements, and maintain accurate data within the scheduling system. Additional responsibilities include analyzing room usage reports, recommending improvements to scheduling practices, and supporting strategic planning and classroom upgrade efforts related to the instructional spaces.
