Job Summary : Supervises and coordinates activities of employees engaged in verifying and keeping records on customer demand and incoming and outgoing shipments and preparing items for shipment.
Required Education and Experience :
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and five years related experience / training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Forklift Operator License
- Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and inventory management system (CMS)
- Excellent teamwork, leadership, communication, decision making, problem solving, and time management skills
- Must be able to multi-task, work independently, give instructions, learn new technologies, and be detail oriented
- Must have a good knowledge of the English language
- Knowledge of Customer Specific Requirements
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 / IATF 16949
Essential Functions :
Studies shipping notices, bills of lading, invoices, and other records to determine shipping priorities, work assignments, and shipping methods required to meet shipping and receiving schedules, utilizing knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and ratesOversees incoming and outgoing shipping activities to ensure accuracy, completeness, and condition of shipmentsEnsure all receipts are in by month endInvestigates shortages of shipped product and other discrepant shipmentsDetermines routing and legal load limits of trucks, according to established schedules and weight limits of statesCoordinates customer demand requirements with Customer Service, Scheduling, and ShippingWalk floor regularly to check progress and assist when necessaryArranges for special and expedited shipping requirementsDirects movement of shipments from shipping and receiving platform to storage and work areasCompiles records of unfilled ordersPosts weight and shipping chargesTrains new shipping personnel to assure competency in job performancePrepares bills of ladingAny other duties or responsibilities assigned by the Materials ManagerAbide by all Company polices including, but not limited to the following : Health and Safety, Quality and Environmental Systems, Human Resources policies, and the Martinrea Employee HandbookLanguage Skills :
