Certified Welding Inspector

Responsibilities :

• Conduct visual inspections of welds to ensure compliance with specified welding procedures and codes.
• Perform thorough examinations of welds using various inspection techniques.
• Identify and document weld defects, discontinuities, and imperfections according to established criteria and standards.
• Ensure adherence to industry codes, welding procedures, and standards during inspections. Keep updated with the latest welding techniques and industry practices.
• Possess Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification from a recognized body.
• Have in-depth knowledge of welding processes, techniques, and standards.
• Prepare detailed inspection reports with findings and recommendations.
• Maintain accurate records of inspection activities and certifications.
• Communicate effectively with welding personnel, QA / QC, project managers, and engineers.
• Collaborate to resolve non-conformities and implement corrective actions.
• Demonstrated experience in welding inspection within mechanical industries.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to interpret welding defects.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Commitment to safety and promoting a safe work environment.

Capable of working with multidisciplinary teams to achieve project goals.
