Description

Position Purpose To supervise and assist in ensuring the appropriate set-up of banquet rooms according to guest specifications and Marcus' standards of quality.

Essential Functions

  • Develop and implement sustainable training and development programs in order to ensure efficient, competent and professional service delivery.
  • Assist and supervise banquet set-up staff and ensure all tasks are completed.
  • Inspect storage facilities.
  • Develop working relationships with vendors and suppliers who provide services to groups and associations.
  • Complete visual inspection and maintenance of banquet and meeting space and condition of equipment.
  • Install phone lines in meeting rooms.
  • Maintain condition and cleanliness of work area.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Prior supervisory experience is preferred.
  • Ability to comprehend and communicate in English in order to provide service as requested by managers, staff and guests.
  • Passionate about hospitality and customer service driven.
  • Pride in your work by creating positive energy, excitement and fun.
  • Respect for all co-workers and guests
  • Act ethically and honestly in all business practices and builds professional relationships by promoting mutual trust.
  • Ability to maintain composure and remain pleasant under high pressure situations.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends and holidays.
