Senior Program Manager
We are currently seeking a Senior Program Manager for the design, procurement, installation, integration, and sustainment of systems for the Department of Defense (DoD) to join our team. The candidate will be responsible for managing and supervising programs related to physical security and emergency management within the DoD, with annual revenue totals typically ranging from $15-$35M. This role will also involve financial responsibilities related to program budgets and cost management. This position will require you to report on-site 2x per week in San Diego, CA.
Key Responsibilities :
- Experience contributing to or supporting programs that encountered delivery, performance, or compliance challenges-and the ability to articulate key takeaways and adjustments made.
- Develop and direct programs in relation to cost, schedule, and performance criteria
- Responsible for all program-level strategic planning for Contracts in the areas of physical security and emergency management
- Design and proactively monitor progress of programs
- Resolve issues and initiate appropriate corrective actions
- Ensure effective quality assurance and overall integrity of programs
- Manage program budgets and financial aspects of program management
Qualifications :
U.S. CitizenshipThe ability to obtain a secret security clearance.10 years of Program or Project Management experience. A Bachelors degree may be substituted for 2 additional years of experience.Minimum of 2 years in a supervisory role with financial responsibilities to include : assigning work to subordinates based on employee's capabilities, priorities, and difficulty; developing performance standards and evaluates employee performance; providing technical and administrative oversight, advice, and instruction; interviewing candidates and recommending hiring, promotions, etc.; hearing and resolving employee complaints, referring serious complaints lacking resolution to higher level supervision; implementing disciplinary measures such as warnings and reprimands and recommending more serious disciplinary measure to higher supervision; identifying and arranging for employee developmental and training requirements.Advanced knowledge and understanding of work programs and functionsProven leadership skills in directing management programsAbility to focus on long-term strategies and initiatives that support a positive outcomeAbility to manage activities of first-level managers and / or supervisors10 years in leading and managing teams to include organizing, guiding, and leading multidisciplinary teams through the initiation, completion, coordination, and presentation of complex projects.Demonstrated resilience and stress managementComplex problem-solving skillsStrong interpersonal skillsDemonstrated Critical and analytical thinkingThe ability to travel up to 25% of the time.An active passport.Additional desired experience and skills :
PMP Certification (Project Management Professional) in good standing.Solid understanding of DoD structures, acquisition processesAn active Secret clearanceThis position reports to a Program Director and offers a competitive salary and benefits package.
