We're Hiring : Safety Manager!

We are seeking an experienced Safety Manager to lead our comprehensive safety programs and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in developing safety protocols, conducting risk assessments, and fostering a culture of safety excellence across our organization.

Role : Safety Manager

Overview :

The Safety Manager will oversee and ensure contractor compliance with OSHA regulations and Owner Controlled Insurance Program (OCIP) requirements across multiple construction sites. Responsibilities include conducting daily safety inspections, leading safety meetings, reviewing safety documentation and incident reports, and providing regular safety reports to management. The role requires flexibility to work at multiple sites throughout the greater Los Angeles area and strong communication skills to effectively coordinate with project teams in a fast-paced environment.

Minimum Required Qualifications :

10 years of commercial construction experience in the US with a General Contractor

5 years of California construction experience with a Contractor or major subcontractor

2 years of experience on educational construction projects within a campus environment

Strong background managing field construction teams on multiple projects

Experience in demolition, renovation, and new construction building projects

Experience working under Owner Controlled Insurance Programs (OCIP)

Must hold a valid Safety Management Specialist (SMS), Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST) certification from BCSP, or Certified Safety Manager Construction (CSMC) certification from NASP (include copies in resume)

Current First Aid / CPR / AED Certification (include copy in resume)

Experience with modernization and renovation projects involving abatement and hazardous material handling (e.g., asbestos, lead-based paint)

Proven ability working with senior management and field teams on large, multi-site building programs

Experience participating in scheduled construction meetings with Contractors and Project Managers

Expertise in safety incident reporting and daily construction reporting across multiple projects

Strong communication skills to liaise with Owner’s Construction Management and Contractor Site Management teams

Ability to manage, control, and report safety incidents promptly and in compliance with OSHA and Owner requirements

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and other common construction software

Preferred Qualifications :

Degree in Construction Management, Safety Management, Safety Engineering, or related field

Additional relevant safety or health certifications

Current 40-Hour HAZWOPER Certification

Current OSHA 500 Trainer Certification
