About the Role :
Goodkind Hospitality Staffing Agency is seeking a Temporary Assistant Food & Beverage Manager (preferably with Hotel or Fine Dining experience) to support the operations of a luxury hotel’s food and beverage outlets. This position plays a key role in enhancing the guest experience by ensuring smooth day-to-day operations, maintaining brand standards, and supporting the Food & Beverage Manager in achieving financial and service goals.
Responsibilities
- Assist in managing daily operations across all food and beverage outlets.
- Communicate effectively with the Food & Beverage Manager, team members, and other departments.
- Conduct staff performance evaluations, implement corrective actions when necessary, and support team development.
- Create and manage departmental schedules to ensure proper staffing levels based on business needs.
- Oversee guest requests and special needs, including allergies and specialty amenities.
- Coordinate event-specific functions, including menu planning and room configuration.
- Manage vendor relationships, purchase orders, and inventory control.
- Ensure compliance with all food sanitation, health, and safety regulations.
- Handle guest concerns promptly and professionally to maintain high satisfaction levels.
- Participate in leadership meetings (Labor, Budget, etc.) and assist with financial reporting and forecasting.
- Collaborate with other departments as needed, especially during high business volumes.
Qualifications
Essential :
Strong communication and leadership skills.Proven ability to multitask and remain composed under pressure.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Proficient in POS and PMS systems, as well as Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).Basic financial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, and labor management.Flexible schedule availability (AM / PM, weekends, holidays).Professional, positive, and guest-focused demeanor.Preferred :
High School Diploma / GED or equivalent vocational training.3–5 years of experience in a similar supervisory or management role.Previous hotel or luxury property experience strongly preferred.Experience managing a large and / or unionized workforce is a plus.
