Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Phlebotomist to join our team. This role involves drawing patient blood samples, processing them accurately, and packaging them for transportation. You will work closely with clinic staff to coordinate blood draws and manage the logistics of sample pickups and shipping to our medical testing site.

Responsibilities

Draw patient blood samples 25-30 times per day.

Process and package blood samples correctly.

Communicate with clinic staff to schedule blood draws.

Organize pickups and shipping of samples to the testing site in Novi / Farmington.

Essential Skills

Proficiency in blood draw, phlebotomy, and venipuncture.

Experience in specimen collection and processing.

Ability to know and describe the order of draw and BD Vacutainer order of draw tube colors.

At least 6 months of experience as a Phlebotomist or Medical Assistant.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Phlebotomy or Medical Assistant certification or certificate.

Experience with 200 plus solo draws.

High School Diploma.

Work Environment

The work environment is predominantly an outpatient setting, offering both stationary and float positions. The team typically wears navy blue scrubs. The primary location in South Lyon hosts about 10 people, while offsite locations vary between 0-3 team members. The position offers great hands-on experience in phlebotomy, with opportunities for raises after six months of employment. Work hours are Monday through Friday from 9 : 00 AM to 5 : 00 PM.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of South Lyon, Michigan.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00 / hr.
