Assist with the delivery of patient care and maintenance of unit environmental standards under the supervision of a licensed nurse.

Position hours : Three (3) 12-hour shifts, 6 : 45 p.m. - 7 : 15 a.m. Rotating based on unit need. No specific workdays or days off can be guaranteed.

Department summary : We care for adult patients ranging in age from 18 and older who are being treated for a variety of neurological disorders, including acute ischemic and hemorrhagic stroke, subdural and epidural hematoma, subarachnoid hemorrhage, seizures, Guillain-Barr syndrome, myasthenia gravis exacerbation, meningitis and encephalitis, spinal cord injury, cerebrovascular intervention, and brain and spinal tumor resection. Our patients are unique because of their specialized neurological needs.

Key responsibilities :

• Assist with the delivery of patient care and maintenance of unit environmental standards under the supervision of a licensed nurse.
• Assists with day-to-day delivery of patient care.
• Facilitates efficient and safe patient care and flow by following work area standards.
• Serves as a liaison for communication and education of patient and family needs.
• Supports unit operations and patient flow by maintaining supplies, equipment, and unit environmental standards.
