Job Description
As an Employee Health Nurse for our fast-paced department, you will support Human Resources as a partner with pre-hire / post-offer, new hire health assessment visits while providing services for Allen County Regional and Anderson County hospital employees and volunteer. You will collaborate with and consult the Kansas City Metro, Employee Health Services department, which includes worker’s compensation. This is an unpredictable fast paced environment with various tasks and responsibilities every day. You also will coordinate and assist with respirator fit testing, phlebotomy, vaccinations, post-injury / exposure triage, and more. This is a high visibility position with a lot of opportunity.

You will need to be a resilient nurse who enjoys performing numerous tasks daily and possess a strong ability to change directions quickly. Strong problem-solving skills with a solution focused mind set is key to being successful in this role. We are looking for customer focused problem solvers with strong communication skills.
Hours
Monday – Friday, No Night, No Holidays, No weekends
8 Hour Shift between 7 AM – 4 : 30 PM – The schedule may vary depending upon candidate / employee / volunteer need.
Responsibilities
Provides coordination of Workers Compensation and Employee Health programs for the metro SLHS entities by providing care for all new candidates, employees following injuries, by completing all appropriate documentation, including processing new hire documentation, and managing all ongoing employee health documentation, entering information into appropriate computer applications, and managing all required and requested data metrics.
This position performs independent health assessments for all new hires, recommends or advises against employment of candidates, and acts as a case manager for employee injuries. Assists in the administration of appropriate SLHS policies and Employee Health programs by processing necessary documentation.
Ensures the integrity and confidentiality of employee health files. Acts as a resource to employees and other departments on a variety of employee health and workers’ compensation issues.
Functions autonomously, consistently, and successfully without consistent onsite supervision

Basic Life Support - American Heart Association or Red Cross, Registered Nurse - Various
