In this role, you will be a member of our highly reputable cost management and estimating team. The cost team delivers solutions to clients in the areas of conceptual estimating, budget development, cost planning, feasibility studies, value management, economic forecasting, milestone reports, pre- and post-contract auditing, change order review and reconciliation, BIM 5D cost modeling, LEED cost analysis, life cycle costing, and more. We are currently hiring for a Procurement Manager in Raleigh, NC. In this role, you will have the opportunity to grow your procurement and cost knowledge within all phases of a project, while gaining experience on a large-scale life science project.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities :
- Review vendor quotes to ensure accuracy and completeness, negotiate scope of work, pricing, and terms and conditions with vendors.
- On board new vendors (provide information packet, submit internally and follow up until completion)
- Draft contracts using Statement of Work (SOW) templates, route for signature, execute, document control and request PO. Draft and issue amendments.
- Prepare, issue, coordinate, and manage the full RFP processincluding evaluations and award recommendation report.
- Prepare and issue Requests for Information (RFIs) as needed.
- Track and update the status of major equipment procurement to ensure timelines are maintained.
- Identify, escalate, and troubleshoot issues to mitigate delays or risks.
- Draft and manage Confidential Disclosure Agreements (CDAs).
- Follow up with vendors to ensure timely responses and deliverables.
- Maintain and regularly update the procurement log.
- Document control.
Knowledge & Skills Required :
Experience and understanding of best-in-class procurement processes using multiple various contracting methodologies.Advanced excel abilities, must be comfortable with conditional formatting, dashboard creation, pivot tables, etc.Advanced skill level in Excel.Computer Savvy including screen sharing, Google platform, Word, PDF and Docusign.Can work well under pressure and can prioritize and multitask.Can work in a team but with little supervision.Knowledge of On-Screen Takeoff and / or Success Estimating Software is a plus.Preferred Education and Experience :
Education : Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management / Engineering, Civil / Electrical / Mechanical Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or Architecture is highly preferred. A combination of education and work experience will also be considered in lieu of degree.5+ years min experience in CAPEX procurement, pharma experience is a plus.
