Material Handler

As a Material Handler, your day will be filled with diverse tasks including cycle counts, data entry, operating forklifts, and saw operation. Your role will also involve working with computer systems and focusing on efficiency. Safety is of utmost importance in this role, and we prioritize it at all times.

Responsibilities

  • Perform cycle counts and ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Enter data accurately into computer systems.
  • Operate forklifts and handle materials efficiently.
  • Utilize saws for material preparation.
  • Adhere to safety protocols at all times.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace.

Essential Skills

  • Forklift operation skills.
  • Experience in a warehouse environment.
  • Proficiency with computer systems.
  • Strong math and reading skills, including the ability to use a ruler.
  • Experience in cycle counting.
  • Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • At least 1 year of experience in a warehouse or production environment, preferably in a metals or manufacturing facility.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Skills in inventory control, shipping, and receiving.

    Work Environment

    This role is based in a warehouse and production facility with a strong focus on achieving production numbers and efficiencies. The team consists of 150-160 full-time employees. The dress code includes jeans, a t-shirt, steel-toed shoes, and personal protective equipment provided by the company. Shifts are available as follows : 1st shift from 6am to 2pm, 2nd shift from 2pm to 10pm, and 3rd shift from 10pm to 6am.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wichita, Kansas.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $19.20 - $20.20 / hr.
