Allied Position Job Notes :

Travel or Local Allied Healthcare Professional needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Radiation Therapist - Radiation Therapist

Job Details :

  • Work Monday through Friday, 8 : 00 AM to 4 : 30 PM day shifts
  • Full-time position working 5 days, 8 hours per day
  • Must have ARRT (T) registration - required
  • Must possess current Medical Radiologic Technologist certificate with the Texas Medical Board
  • Must maintain current BLS certification (AHA only)
  • Graduate of an AMA approved School of Radiation Therapy Technology required
  • Preferred minimum of one year experience in hospital or treatment center environment
  • Basic computer knowledge required
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
  • Administer radiation therapy treatments and simulation with minimum supervision
  • Follow prescription and instructions of radiation oncologist
  • Assist in treatment planning procedures including tumor localization and dosimetry
  • Maintain accurate scheduling and see patients on or before appointed times
  • Explain procedures to patients and assess for special needs
  • Prepare rooms and equipment for use while maintaining safe, clean environment
  • Observe radiation safety measures for patients and personnel
  • Perform accurate documentation and record keeping
  • Perform weekly chart checks and rotate responsibilities with partner
  • Report treatment variations and equipment issues to appropriate personnel
