What You Will Do :

• Provide effective assistance in emergency response including containment, repair, and cleanup as well as emergency preventative actions relating to abnormal right-of-way conditions to avert any possible incident.
• Perform all types of applicable pipeline repair (e.g. sleeving, emergency repair, stopple, etc) using appropriate Company procedures including but not limited to tasks listed in Company manuals.
• Perform tasks to maintain pipeline integrity (e.g. launching / receiving pipeline inspection tools, shorted casing clearing, test lead installation, etc)
• Conduct line crossings, including receiving one call, reading maps, locating, contacting utilities, and landowners, as well as probing and staking the line.
• Understand and comply with all safety requirements relative to the performance of pipeline maintenance duties.
• Complete required Performance Based Training forms documenting the process of learning and the ability to independently perform pipeliner tasks prior to achieving the status of Senior Pipeliner including heavy equipment operation
• Become Operator Qualified on all required covered tasks prior to performing work independently and oversee those not qualified when required.
• Act as a Company inspector of contract work as required.
• Provide coverage as Pipeline Supervisor when required.
• Perform any additional tasks as requested by Pipeline Supervisor.

Physical Requirements :

Include but are not limited to : Balancing, bending and stooping, climbing, crawling, carrying (up to 85 pounds), grasping, kneeling, lifting (Up to 100 pounds), pulling hand over hand, pushing, reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, sitting, standing, walking, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement.

Include but are not limited to : Ability to : understand, remember and apply oral and / or written instructions or other information, understand complex problems and collaborate / explore alternative solutions, organize thoughts and ideas into understandable terminology, organize and prioritize work schedule on a short-term basis, make decisions which have moderate impact on the immediate work unit and monitor impact outside this area, understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines, complete routine forms, compose letters, outlines, memoranda and basic reports and communicate with individuals via telephone.
