Pay Rate : Up to $67 / hr (W2 Contract)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Risk Management Consultant to join the Independent Risk Management organization. This role involves consulting on complex risk initiatives across credit, operational, or testing domains, with a focus on evaluating controls, identifying emerging risks, and ensuring alignment with compliance and governance standards.

The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience in risk assessment, issue management, and control evaluation within a large, regulated financial institution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Consult on complex initiatives and risk programs with broad impact across the enterprise.
  • Analyze multi-faceted, large-scale risk challenges and provide recommendations to mitigate exposure.
  • Review policies, procedures, and controls to ensure compliance with regulatory expectations and enterprise standards.
  • Support the development and implementation of risk management frameworks and control enhancements.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders across business lines, control functions, and compliance to identify, assess, and manage risks.
  • Contribute to issue resolution, root cause analysis, and action plan validation.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in Risk Management (e.g., Credit Risk, Operational Risk, Independent Testing, or Compliance).
  • Strong understanding of enterprise risk frameworks and regulatory expectations.
  • Proven ability to evaluate complex risk environments and communicate findings effectively.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Preferred Qualifications

  • Background in large financial institutions or regulatory environments.
  • Experience in risk assessment, testing, or audit functions.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and meet strict deadlines.
