APEX Placement and Consulting has partnered with an exciting company in Greenfield, IN looking to add Diesel Mechanic to their already amazing team. Their primary responsibility will be maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and facility equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation in an industrial environment. Perform both routine and advanced maintenance and repairs on diesel-powered manufacturing equipment and hydraulic systems.Conduct scheduled preventive maintenance on equipment and facility infrastructure to ensure reliability and efficiency.Carry out general facility maintenance tasks including lighting, HVAC support, minor plumbing, painting, and basic structural repairs.Maintain accurate and detailed service records, including logs for equipment maintenance and repair activities.Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, diesel engine, and facility-related issues, and provide appropriate corrective solutions.Replace, repair, and calibrate components to maintain equipment performance and safety standards.Interpret technical documentation such as equipment manuals, hydraulic schematics, diesel engine diagrams, facility layouts, and blueprints.Monitor system performance and support initiatives for continuous improvement in equipment and facility operations.What we are looking for :
High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in diesel mechanics, hydraulics, or maintenance is a plus3-5 years of Maintenance Technician experience3+ years of experience working with diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and facility maintenance in an industrial settingSkilled at finding and fixing mechanical, hydraulic, and facility problemsCan read and understand manuals, blueprints, and technical drawingsAble to perform crane inspectionsPreferred Skills :Basic knowledge of electrical systems and PLCs
