Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
Negotiates, purchases and monitors television and radio buys, both locally and nationally for assigned markets.Negotiates, purchases and monitors print, OOH, direct vendor digital audio and direct vendor digital video buys.Produces and executes optimum buys in terms of cost efficiencies and goal delivery, while following client guidelinesNegotiates added value opportunities within client guidelinesReviews all media invoices and resolves any discrepanciesResponsible for reporting buys performance in the form of a post-buy analysisCollaborate with team members to ensure all client needs are metEffectively problem-solves, generates innovative solutionsImprove and maintain positive relations with media representativesEvaluate and recommend sponsorship opportunities if valuable to a clientStay updated on spot market conditions, price fluctuations, changes in viewing patterns, station changesWorking on a range of client accounts at the same time, often juggling various projects and deadlines.Assist on new business projects as neededHelp mentor and train Associate Media BuyersQualifications and Requirements :
3-5 years media buying experience; agency and national experience preferredSelf-motivated, very detailed oriented and an independent thinkerPositive attitude and team orientedAbility to think analytically based on business objectives and client needsHigh comfort level with numbers and constant reporting needsCommunicate clearly and effectively to others, written and verbalPlans and organizes work; sets priorities and manages time wellHas a sense of urgency to obtain results, meets deadlinesHandles large volume of work efficiently, effectively and productivelyKnowledge of Mediaocean and Mircosoft Office
