Job Summary :

What will you do as a baker at Food & Thought 2?

You will prepare a variety of fresh, high-quality breads and pastries, follow recipes with precision, and maintain a clean, organized workspace. Your role supports our commitment to excellence by ensuring every baked item meets our standards and enhances the customer experience.

Requirements :

Essential Job Functions :

Bake breads and pastries following recipes and quality standards.

Operate ovens, mixers, and other bakery equipment safely.

Follow daily production schedules and timelines.

Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.

Ensure all products are fresh, properly labeled, and visually appealing.

Rotate inventory using FIFO practices.

Work collaboratively with the bakery team.

Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines.

Qualifications :

Must be 18 years or older.

Proficiency in English is required; Spanish skills are a plus.

Non-slip shoes are required for safety (not provided).

Legal authorization to work in the United States.

Reliable transportation is a must.

Physical Requirements :

Ability to stand for extended periods

Lift and carry up to 30 lbs frequently.

Perform repetitive tasks such as kneading, shaping, and mixing dough.

Manual dexterity to handle bakery tools and ingredients.

Work in environments with varying temperatures (warm ovens, cold storage).

Bend, reach, and move efficiently in a fast-paced setting.

Good vision for inspecting product quality and presentation.

Must be able to work around common allergens such as wheat, dairy, eggs, nuts, and soy.
