Job Summary :

What will you do as a baker at Food & Thought 2?

You will prepare a variety of fresh, high-quality breads and pastries, follow recipes with precision, and maintain a clean, organized workspace. Your role supports our commitment to excellence by ensuring every baked item meets our standards and enhances the customer experience.

Requirements :

Essential Job Functions :

  • Bake breads and pastries following recipes and quality standards.
  • Operate ovens, mixers, and other bakery equipment safely.
  • Follow daily production schedules and timelines.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
  • Ensure all products are fresh, properly labeled, and visually appealing.
  • Rotate inventory using FIFO practices.
  • Work collaboratively with the bakery team.
  • Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
  • Qualifications :

  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • Proficiency in English is required; Spanish skills are a plus.
  • Non-slip shoes are required for safety (not provided).
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States.
  • Reliable transportation is a must.
  • Physical Requirements :

  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Lift and carry up to 30 lbs frequently.
  • Perform repetitive tasks such as kneading, shaping, and mixing dough.
  • Manual dexterity to handle bakery tools and ingredients.
  • Work in environments with varying temperatures (warm ovens, cold storage).
  • Bend, reach, and move efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
  • Good vision for inspecting product quality and presentation.
  • Must be able to work around common allergens such as wheat, dairy, eggs, nuts, and soy.
