Our factory in Crete, Nebraska stands as one of the largest manufacturers in the area and one of the largest wet pet food manufacturing facilities in the U.S. Together, we proudly produce over one thousand tons of pet food per day, including renowned brands such as Alpo, Nestlé Purina ONE, Pro Plan, Friskies, and Nestlé Purina Veterinary Diets.
Position Summary As a Designer, you will be responsible for utilizing software and other design tools to support the factory engineering program. You will prepare conceptual 2D / 3D drawings, designs and details for further project development. Maintaining an up-to-date archive of factory and equipment design is also a key function.
THIS POSITION IS EXCLUSIVELY BASED AT OUR CRETE FACILITY
Collaborate with Staff Engineers and Electrical / Controls Team to design schematics, process flow diagrams and equipment layouts.
Interpret technical documents with Engineering assistance, and relay relevant information through drawings and detailed instructions to contractors.
Investigate plant floor details to develop preliminary and conceptual drawings.
Maintain and organize drawings and other key documentation for all buildings and equipment in AS-BUILT condition, utilizing AutoDesk Vault.
Generate and pursue innovative solutions to engineering problems.
Requirements Associate’s Degree in Drafting, Engineering or related field and 2+ years of experience in process-related drafting and design
OR High School Diploma or GED and 4+ years of experience in a process-related drafting and design
Other Experience in the food industry and packaging technologies is preferred
The approximate pay range for this position is $71,000.00 to $101,000.00. Nestlé offers performance-based incentives and a competitive total rewards package, which includes a 401k with company match, healthcare coverage and a broad range of other benefits.
