S : US is seeking a Shift Supervisor for their women's shelter in Manhattan.

This position is located at New York, NY, 10030

Scope of Role :

The Shift Supervisor provides supervision and training to Residential Specialists and Community Coordinators. Supervision includes, but is not limited to, ongoing individual supervisory meetings; building inspections, ongoing feedback regarding job performance; coordinating work schedules, timesheets and requests for time off; coordinating work assignments; evaluating paperwork and documentation including the Security Log and Maintenance Work Order Log books; coordinating security and maintenance staff training, development and evaluation. May be required to fulfill duties of residential aides and / or custodial personnel in their absence. Responsible for maintaining fire safety

Qualifications

• F-80 is required.
• Security license is mandatory but may be obtained within 6 months if hired.
• High School Diploma or GED required
• 2+ years of experience in Security or Building Maintenance is required.
• Ability to provide crisis intervention utilizing good interpersonal skills with a high level of maturity and responsibility
• Experience in office management and / or staff supervision is required.
• Experience working in a large residential / institutional setting with a special needs population is required.
• Strong writing, interpersonal, and organizational skills required.
