Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled, experienced, and motivated Cloud & SaaS Platform Administrator to manage and maintain our entire infrastructure, which is hosted entirely in the cloud and utilizes various team productivity tools. This role requires expertise in IaaS / PaaS (Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud) and deep proficiency in administering essential SaaS applications (e.g., CRM, ERP, and collaboration suites). The successful candidate must be ready to start immediately, lead technology strategy from day one, and ensure seamless, secure, and highly available services for our remote employee base.
Key Responsibilities
Cloud & SaaS Platform Management (70%)
- Technology Strategy & Platform Selection : Lead the development of the organization's long-term technology roadmap. This includes evaluating, selecting, and standardizing organization-wide cloud and SaaS platforms to ensure scalability, cost-efficiency, and strategic alignment with SAASOA's mission.
- Cloud Infrastructure Administration : Oversee and manage our primary cloud environment (e.g., Azure or AWS VPC / VNet), focusing on virtual computing, storage, identity management (IAM), and cloud networking (security groups, load balancers).
- SaaS Ecosystem Administration : Act as the primary administrator for core business applications (e.g., Microsoft 365 / Google Workspace, Jira, Salesforce, HubSpot), managing user provisioning, configuration, security settings, and integration.
- Data Protection : Implement and maintain robust backup, recovery, and data retention solutions specifically for cloud-hosted data and critical SaaS application data.
- Automation and Optimization : Utilize scripting (e.g., PowerShell, Python) and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles to automate deployment, configuration, and maintenance tasks across cloud resources.
Remote End-User Support & Security (30%)
Provide Tier 2 / 3 technical support for end-users, troubleshooting complex issues related to cloud application access, SaaS integrations, and remote hardware / software functionality.Manage and secure endpoint devices (laptops, mobile devices) for remote users via Mobile Device Management (MDM) solutions, ensuring compliance with remote security policies.Develop and enforce robust cloud security policies, focusing on identity management, least-privilege access, and conditional access across all cloud and SaaS platforms.Document all cloud architecture, platform configurations, and standardized support procedures clearly and concisely.Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.5+ years of professional, hands-on experience in a System Administrator or Cloud Engineer role, with at least 3 years focused entirely on managing cloud (IaaS / PaaS) and SaaS environments.Deep proficiency in one major cloud platform (Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud) , including compute, networking, security, and identity services.Expertise in administering and integrating multiple enterprise-level SaaS applications (e.g., O365, CRM, ERP).Strong understanding of cloud networking principles (VPC / VNet, VPN Gateways, Cloud Firewalls).Demonstrable ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex, remote-user and cloud-service incidents immediately.Preferred Qualifications
Relevant Cloud certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified : Azure Administrator Associate, AWS SysOps Administrator, or Google Cloud Professional Cloud Administrator).Experience with monitoring and logging tools in a cloud environment (e.g., CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, Splunk).Strong scripting and automation skills (PowerShell, Python, Bash, or Terraform).Work Environment & Culture
This is a remote-first position. The Cloud & SaaS Platform Administrator will primarily work remotely but must be available for occasional in-person visits to our Alabama office (e.g., for essential quarterly team meetings or critical hands-on office IT needs that cannot be resolved remotely).
