Teach Braille, assistive technology, and independent living skills
Adapt educational materials and ensure curriculum accessibility
Conduct assessments and develop Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
Collaborate with staff to implement accommodation and train them in supporting visually impaired students
Communicate with parents on progress and connect them with resources
Provide accessible materials and teach students to use assistive tools
Qualifications :
Active Texas teacher certification / license
Texas Special Education credentials for TVI
Certification in Braille
Experience in Assistive Technology
Ability to work effectively in a School setting
Strong communication, time management, and clinical decision-making skills
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
One or more years of experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility setting
Familiarity with electronic documentation systems
Demonstrated commitment to professional growth and patient-centered care
